This Queen Anne home was previously divided into 3 separate units. The homeowners wanted to open up the space. They created new floor plans that better suited their needs including a spacious home office and fully functional guest quarters/ mother-in-law unit including kitchen, bathroom, living area & bedroom. They chose dark doors and trim throughout for a dramatic look.
Having an outdoor living area was important to them for entertaining and enjoying the amazing views of Seattle’s downtown cityscape and Space Needle. The built-in outdoor fireplace on the top floor deck really helps takes the chill off.

We recently completed an extensive remodel of our home, and are extremely happy with the work that Maxim and his team performed. We initially hired Flying Dormer to crane in and install a steel I-beam to replace a bearing wall, install a new floating stair case, and complete a myriad of other structural changes throughout the house. We were so happy with their work and so comfortable with the team, that we utilized their services throughout the remodel, for projects up to and including finish work. Most recently, we had Maxim custom design and build several cabinets to complete the house. Maxim and his team were very professional and pleasant to work with. We had wonderful communication throughout the project, and always felt at ease asking questions and received very thorough explanations in return. Maxim also came up with many very creative solutions for challenges that inevitably arise during any remodel. With his expertise and advice, we were able to come up with solutions quickly that allowed us to stay on schedule and on budget for the project. I would whole heartedly recommend using Maxim and Flying Dormer for any remodel project. This was our first major remodel, and Maxim made it a great experience!
